This new restaurant located at 2178 N. Prospect Avenue will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with a focus on soul food like fried chicken and catfish.

Door County's Island Orchard Cider is opening Pomona Cider Co. at 2163 N. Farwell Avenue. The new tasting room will serve a wide variety of ciders, craft beer and wine as well as wood-fired appetizers including flatbreads.

1504 to 1530 E. North Avenue

A 56-unit apartment building is being planned for the 1500 block of E. North Avenue featuring amenities for car-lite urban living. UW Credit Union will be the anchor commercial tenant.

This two-story building, once a commercial dairy complete with a milk bar, is being converted into apartments. Apartment untils will average 1,000 square feet each and floor plans will consist of a mix of one-and two-bedroom layouts.

1832 E. North Avenue

Built in 1893, the previous home of the historic East Side bar, Vitucci's, is being remodeled by new owners into a restaurant-bar. The vision for the space is a fresh, modern look with a bit of old-school charm. Renovations will include retractable garage door walls, and open kitchen, a new bar and a back room for private events.
