The East Side Open Market Moves to Thursday Evenings
Milwaukee- The East Side Open Market will celebrate its’ eight year of offering East Siders fresh produce and handmade crafts by moving to Thursday evenings. The market will open June 12 and run through October 9.The new time is 3:00 pm to 7:00pm. It will remain in its’ traditional location at The Beans & Barley parking lot.
This year, the East Side Open Market will continue to bring Wisconsin certified organic produce and local, handmade arts and crafts items to Milwaukee residents. Along with the great food and crafts provided by over 25 vendors, weekly entertainment will be will be available for patrons of the market.
We hope that the new, later time will help accommodate the residents of the East Side. The market is a great way to relax after work and enjoy the cool summer evenings in Milwaukee. Shopping and browsing in the evening at the market will allow time to unwind, reconnect with friends and family and spend time with your best friends-your dogs.
Another wonderful thing about the move to Thursday evenings is the connections that will be made with employees of local businesses. Having moved to a weeknight, employees of neighborhood businesses will be able to participate in the market. We hope this will spread the sprit and enthusiasm of East Side to the greater Milwaukee area.
Entering into its eighth season, The East Side Open Market brings quality, farm-fresh Wisconsin produce and hand-made items to the East Side neighborhood each week between June 12 and October 9. The East Side Open Market is operated by The East Side Business Improvement District, #20 and aims to raise money for beautification and crime prevention efforts within the neighborhood.
