THE EVOLVING ART SHELTER

THE EVOLVING ART SHELTER

We’ve got something to add to your ‘art stops’ list but you won’t need to squeeze it into the packed schedule of Gallery Night/Day. In fact, you should visit when it’s raining.

The evolving art piece is simply known as The East Side’s signature bus shelter with adjoining business shelter on Oakland and North Avenue. It’s easy to miss now that it’s set against the backdrop of looming new development projects, most recently the new 4-story mixed-use building right across the street. Mini donuts are a staple on the corner, with the latest operator Chubby's Drive Thru adding patio seating.

This time Henry has launched his own business and is working exclusively on the East Side. He’ll not only clean-up in front of businesses but makes rounds in the immediate neighborhood after busy weekends.
