Food truck and restaurant Falafel Guys, the maker of falafel, chicken shawarma sandwiches and more, will open another location — this one on the east side, in the Crossroads Collective food hall, due to open in November.

It will be one of eight restaurant stands in the hall, which also will have a speakeasy-style bar.

Falafel Guys began as a food truck and added a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Thiensville in 2015. The food hall stand's menu will fall somewhere between the two, said Chrissy Stroli, co-owner with husband Ron Stroli, a native of Israel.

It will have all the pita sandwiches the truck sells, plus several more, and will have salad; the menu includes vegan and vegetarian items. Customers at Crossroads Collective also can design bowls — a choice of meat or falafel plus rice, hummus and tahini, and can add the cucumber-tomato-onion Israeli salad, she said.

"The east side is a good place for us, a good fit," Chrissy Stroli said. Downtown-area customers of the food truck, which is closing for the season soon, are familiar with the menu, and the food hall is near Columbia St. Mary's hospital, she noted.

Falafel Guys also plans to have third-party delivery at the east side location.

Other restaurants lined up for the food hall include Laughing Taco, Scratch Ice Cream and Frida, a soup-and-sandwich restaurant named for Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, from the owners and chef of Tess. Chef Martin Magana, who is from the Mexico City area, is fan of the painter's.

Crossroads Collective will have eight food stands in all.
