The East Side BID is excited to announce plans to add a new mural to Black Cat Alley in fall 2023. We are issuing this Call for Artists in search of proposals for the wall selected for mural installation.

The East Side celebrates Halloween in Black Cat Alley with all day activities and a dance party on Saturday, October 29th.

From an entertainment perspective, Milwaukee's East Side neighborhood celebrates iconic establishments while working to stay innovative with new business. It's not an easy line to walk, but new BID director David Smulyan is up for the journey.

Milwaukee's Black Cat Alley is looking for Wisconsin-based artists to create three new murals. Women, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC artists will be prioritized, according to a news release from the East Side Business Improvement District.

The East Side Creative Corridor will see some new art this summer as organizers seek three new murals for Black Cat Alley and relaunch the East Side Art Lot.

Two Milwaukee artists and one Stevens Point artist will paint murals in September at Milwaukee’s premier street art destination, Black Cat Alley. Black Cat Alley is a public arts destination owned by the East Side BID, and managed by the artist-led group that founded it in 2016.

More than 100 artists entered a competition to add murals to the East Side's Black Cat Alley this month and a community jury selected a pair of Milwaukee artists and another from Stevens Point to paint new works in the city's best permanent outdoor art gallery.

Milwaukee, WI – Members of the public are invited to meet the artists of one of Milwaukee's most notable outdoor art galleries on Thursday, July 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Back Room at Colectivo on Prospect Ave. Black Cat Alley is an original outdoor art gallery located in a private alley on the East Side between E Kenilworth Place and E Ivanhoe Place.

You've got options this weekend. There are three ice bars in the Third Ward at St. Paul Fish Co., Benelux Cafe and Wicked Hop. Or hit up the Fire + Ice Party on the east side in Black Cat Alley. So put on your snow boots and hit the town. The corner of East St. Paul Avenue and Broadway in the Third Ward is where most of these bars are clustered.
