EAST SIDE MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT GUIDE

You can find several live music, arts and entertainment scenes, along with restaurants and taverns all located within our walkable East Side neighborhood. The East Side's live music venues offer intimate shows in the newly renovated Jazz Estate, Colectivo's Back Room, Landmark Lane's Moon Room, Von Trier, and G-Daddy BBC's. The arts on the East Side's is growing, from artist exhibitions at the UWM Peck School of the Arts and films at the Oriental Theatre to the large-scale street art murals of Black Cat Alley.

The East Side offers day to night entertainment in the world's first Maker's Golf Tavern at Nine Below, bowling at the historic Landmark Lanes and movies at the historic Oriental Theatre. Visit the East Side Business Directory for a full listing of businesses by category.

 

 

Colectivo's Live from the Back Room

The Jazz Estate

The recently re-opened and renovated Jazz Estate has been host to some of the best local and national jazz musicians for more than 40 years. The intimate space lends itself well as a jazz venue and offers an carefully curated cocktail list. Landmark Lanes

Landmark Lanes is one of Milwaukee's oldest and longest-running bowling alleys offering the East Side entertainment since 1927. Landmark's Live from the Moon Room has regularly booked music on weekends. View the full schedule here.

Nine Below

Welcome to the world's first indoor, underground Maker's Golf Tavern located nine feet below Beans & Barley in the heart of the East Side. Oriental Theatre

On the national top 10 list of historic movie palaces, the Oriental Theatre is the heart of the East Side. Discover the best of film here, in a dramatic setting. Built in 1927, The Oriental Theatre features Eastern Indian artwork and decor. One of the only kind in the country. It shows on 3 screens art house films, independent movies and Hollywood blockbusters. The Oriental Theatre is also a popular host to the Annual Milwaukee Film Festival. Paddy's Pub

Von Trier

German decor surrounds you in this historic and classic cocktail lounge that hosts live blues every Friday night. Famous on the East Side as one of the first upscale lounges, today offers a variety of beers, cocktails, hot drinks and their popcorn. Now serving german small plates as well.
