Summer Soulstice 2026 Brings Music, Community, and Summer Energy to Milwaukee's East Side

On Saturday, June 13, thousands of people filled the streets of the East Side for another unforgettable Summer Soulstice Music Festival. The neighborhood came alive with live music, art, delicious food, shopping, and the kind of community energy that makes Summer Soulstice one of Milwaukee's favorite summer traditions.

Registration open for East Side Tomato Fight

The 13th Annual Tomato Romp Festival returns to Milwaukee's East Side on Saturday, September 7. The festival is inspired by the Tomatina, Spain rotten tomato fight. In addition to the tomato fight, there will also be a Bloody Mary Challenge between East Side bars and restaurants.

Bike lane barriers installed on two Milwaukee bridges

Concrete barriers have been installed at the start and end of protected bicycle lanes on two bridges in Milwaukee. They're on the Locust Street and North Avenue bridges that link the city's east side with Riverwest.

Mad Chicken Coming to East Side

Mad Chicken, a fast-food chain specializing in chicken tenders, wings and sandwiches, plans to open a new restaurant inside the space at 2045 E. North Ave. Nabil Mutlaq will co-own the location, along with his friends and business partners Ramez Ali and Mohamed Elqady.
