Door County Brewing Co. is growing its Hacienda Beer Co. brand to Milwaukee with a taproom and kitchen slated to open on the city’s east side in May of 2019. The location will serve as Hacienda’s first dedicated tap room. The venue will also host live music, beer releases and other community driven events.
“Through Hacienda, we will push boundaries and challenge ourselves to bring out the most delicious and creative beer possible in a memorable setting,” said Door County Brewing Co. CEO John McMahon. “We’ve been eager to develop a space outside of Door County that is a reflection of the Hacienda brand, which is for people who are looking for innovation, creativity, freshness, authenticity and grit.”
Hacienda Beer Co. Milwaukee will be a 125-seat taproom and kitchen project that will be located at 2018 E. North Avenue. The beer will be crafted at the 15-barrel brew house opened in Baileys Harbor by Door County Brewing Co. in 2017.
Milwaukee developer Josh Jeffers acquired the historic brick building that will house the taproom in April.
“From the onset of the project we had a vision of bringing a special use to this important corner,” said Bruce Westling, who serves as J. Jeffers and Co. leasing agent for the building. “Hacienda fits the bill perfectly. We’re excited to see Hacienda join long time stalwarts Von Trier and Hooligans and newcomer Crossroads Collective at this key East Side intersection.”
For the interior design and build out, Door County Co. is partnering with Milwaukee based design and fabrication firm 360 Degrees. Their work includes Lowland Group restaurants, including Café Hollander, Café Central and Café Benelux.
Door County Brewing Co. is targeting Memorial Day Weekend 2019 for its Grand Opening.
